this gym was my go to gym for 3 years, back when i started my weight loss journey and now they want to close it, what a shame tbh, every other pf i go to in manhattan wont hit the same as this one, thankful for the people i met during my journey, will miss them alot
As of Jan. 2026 this planet fitness is closed. They didn’t let members know and also barely kept up with this place while it was open. Not shocked it was shut down.
I’m writing this review based on what this gym used to be. I don’t know if it’s permanently closed or being “remodeled,” which is the Planet Fitness euphemism for replacing perfectly good, ergonomically sound Life Fitness machines with poorly designed and outright DANGEROUS Matrix branded machines. Im so sad why are they getting rid of this location
I never even got to step foot in this gym. I signed up on their website on 12/29/25. I walked all the way there today to see a sign on the door stating that the gym has closed for good. Why was I allowed to sign up for a gym that no longer exists? I didn't receive a single communication from PF about this. Honestly I want a refund. I paid $1 for their promo, but it's the principle.
