Wow! After looking over some of these review! Oof!! People are rough!! But they're not wrong. The place is dirty, the air feels....sticky, the equipment is worn, the place in general is lacking in regular upkeep. And its obvious. It's in dire need of renovation. Place is always like a sauna, talk with staff and no action. I get it, the folks always milling around the desk want to stay comfortable, however, the paying guests get to sweat a whole lot more. In all ways, definitely not cool!
Locker room could definitely be cleaner especially the bathroom area but place is generally uncrowded and the machines are always working which is great. Though they could add a free weight bench in exchange for the tons of treadmills they got but thats an issue at most PFs anyway.
This was my first visit to this location. Staff were friendly. You can tell this place needs some TLC! The machines were dirty, the locker room felt old and dirty. People weren’t wiping down equipment after their workouts - common it literally takes 5 seconds! I didn’t even bother checking out the massage chairs or tanning areas.
Always enjoyed going to Planet Fitness. The main reason is with my membership i had one on one with trainer . While I enjoy going to the gym I need a trainer to motivate me. I have had 2 trainers who were great. Unfortunately the Freehold NJ location takes forever to replace trainer when one leaves. When first trainer left it took them almost 6 months to replace and now when the second one left it has been 3months and they still have hired one. I miss going and wish they woukd hire a new trainer.
