One of the smithmachines was missing a safety lock that keeps the plates from falling off the side of the barbell. Reported this to the front desk lady and she replied with "What we got out there is what we have." if someone dropped a plate on their foot that would be a serious lawsuit filed against Planet Fitness. Such negligence that they neglect safety.
IF YOU'RE NEW TO THE GYM AND THINKING ABOUT SIGNING UP: They will charge you for the month you sign up even if it is 1 week after you sign the contract. I signed up for their $1 sign up black membership card. I was charged 7 days later $25.05 (I was told it was the $24.99 promised fee plus tax). On top of that, I will be charged two weeks later again for the membership. So I paid $25 for a gym membership for one week. I'll also be charged the annual fee of $49 the following month on top of my monthly fee. Can someone explain... read more
