Unfriendly, went in after playing tennis to compare it with the one in Madison. Hardly anyone in there. Told me I could not use it with classic membership. I understand that, but I was thirsty  and just wanted some water. She told me I could not have any and would not offer to get it for me. She said I could not walk passed the desk  for insurance reasons. I will stick with Madison where all the front desk people are friendly and make me feel welcomed..

Gave them my correct checking and routing numbers TWICE along with a second form of payment. Twice they were unable to run the payments trough my checking account for some unknown reason. Money was there and info was correct. They ran the charges without issue through my second form of payment provided but TWICE they charged me late fees and they refuse to refund them. I filed a complaint with the bbb after they refused to refund late fees even though the second form of payment went through without issue both times. This is ... read more

Planet Fitness uses ABC Financial for billing. When signing up, you're required to provide two forms of payment: your checking account and a debit or credit card. I had two memberships—one for myself and one for my daughter. All payments are due on the 17th of each month. If a payment from your checking account fails, ABC Financial will charge your secondary payment method (your card), usually around the 24th, and they add a $15 late fee. There are backpacks all over the floor, God knows who may be carrying weapons, cell phone usage is out of control even though there are signs on the walls stating no cell phones in workout area. Just the other day a guy had a tripod taking videos of himself, I believe this is illegal to video in a private establishment because people don't want to be in your video. Have been going to the North Shepherd location for several months now and although the equipment is nice, (the reason for two stars instead of one), none of the rules of use are enforced; in the 30 minute workout section which has a sign clearly stating that the limit on each machine is two minutes, users sit on the machines while texting for sometimes up to 20 minutes. Today there were two users taking turns sitting on one machine and texting while doing so. After using almost every machine in the area, I gave up and left. ... read more

Planet Fitness used to be the place that boasted they were the "judgement-free zone"...well not any longer. Their location on Gettysburg Pike is apparently under new (Gen Z-age) management, and they did a complete renovation of the gym floor. Now there's twice as much space dedicated to free weights (and half as much again for "cross training" like rope pulls, tire-flipping and kettlebells, to the detriment of what used to be a stretching area). Every time I come in, the person at the front desk (TJ) just glares at me instead of greeting me. I don't feel welcome. I'm paying for a gym membership, not to be intimidated by staff. The rest of the facility is fine but management should address this behavior.

I stopped in to inquire about a Silver Sneakers membership.. The start at the front desi were having a ball talking to one another... I thought they were very unfriendly and unprofessional... I really thought that Alex was rude... I wanted to check the place out... Alex looked at me like I was getting on his nerves.. That was not cool. They added a few new machines and moved around others. 1/4 of the equipment was removed from the building. Having space between machine wasn't the problem!. Now people waiting on machine is the problem but hey they now have plenty of room while they wait....... They replaced a 4 station cable machine with a 2 station Matrix machine and just a month in 1/2 of it is broken. Who know how long that's going to take to get fixed because nothing happens fast at Plant Fitness. Now we have more people standing around waiting... T... read more
