This place is awesome! Great service and great food!
As an Ambler resident, I’m genuinely embarrassed to see this in our community. In 2026, profiting from the suffering of animals, especially through practice's like foie gras, feels completely out of step with basic compassion. Please do the right thing and remove it from your menu.
I dined at Planchette Creperie on Saturday evening with a party of six, and unfortunately, what started as a pleasant experience ended quite poorly. The beginning of the meal was seamless. Our wine was opened promptly, appetizers arrived hot and correct, and everything initially set a great tone for the evening. However, when our entrées were delivered, my dish was incorrect. This place is delightful. Home baked bread is absolutely amazing. We went in for lunch & knew it would be a bit pricey but it was worth every penny. I had mushroom barley soup & calmari. He had the andouli sausage sandwich. We shared a creme brule. Everything was just perfect. Nice atmosphere, no wait for a table. They say presemtation is everything in the food business & this place sure has it. Dinners are definitely more expensive but the cost of fine dining isn't mich more than fast food these days & well worth the treat.
Dinner Disaster- I have never written a complaint previously. This place is all about profit. How many 15inch tables can be packed into one space. Table cloth covering an outside table which is not flat. Very tricky finding a place for the bottle of wine, plates, etc.. So when the waitress reached in to remove something, the glass of red wine spilled onto my wife’s white pants. Accidents happen.
