The food was awesome.Taste very good, but when they sat us, it was so awkward.No menus for 10 minutes.They left the bottle of water with no cups. The waitress finally came back and brought us cups.The waitress was really trying, but it seems like she had too many tables, and the others around her didn't seem like they wanted to help her. I was visiting from Vandenberg Space Force Base and wanted a cute spot to get Italian food, but I didn’t know this was a bad place for people of color. We felt extremely ignored. It took 20 minutes for them to even get us water and even longer to get glasses with ice. Everyone was seen before us with urgency and care. They forgot multiple drinks, messed up our orders, were not attentive to our table and overall didn’t give us the same treatment as everyone else. Bello Forno is the kind of place that reminds you food doesn’t have to be complicated to be incredible. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared, from the perfectly cooked wood-fired pizza to the rich, satisfying Italian dishes. The crust had that perfect balance of crispness and chew, and the toppings were high-quality and full of flavor.
