They have the best Italian subs on Italian bread buns with lots of meat. My friend and I buy subs every Tuesday for our girls' movie night.
Went in and sat at the bar directly in front of the taps, staff came and went from taps and never even looked at us. I realize it was busy so we waited patiently for about 10 minutes. Finally the male server/manager puts menus in front of us said he would be right back, I asked for a beer and was scolded by him. He told us that’s why they have a please wait to be seated sign. This place is setup to be able to handle a lot of people. Has a modern setup and a bar as well for people to sit at and order beer. The atmosphere is fine, like the inside of a barn I guess, playing country music. We waited for nearly 20 minutes to be seated when there were tons of seats open, booth/tables. Worst managed restaurant I’ve ever been to. First, no body even looks at you when you stand at the “wait to be seated” sign. Second, we finally get seated and people seated after us get waited on and we have to request someone to get our drinks. We decided to leave and go to Pizza Hut. This is not the first time this has happened. Another group left prior to our leaving. What’s more important than seating your customers?
Pizza Cottage pizza is the best. Mount Vernon Pizza Cottage has the worst service I’ve ever seen. The really good waitresses are so overworked. They can’t keep up because of staffing issues. The really bad waitresses don’t seem to care and will actually laugh when you talk about how long you’ve been waiting. Drive all the way to Newark eat and come home. It’ll be quicker than going to Mount Vernon.
