We had mussels, pesto pasta, prosciutto artichoke fire-roasted, thin crust (Napoli) pizza, Caesar and Aromi salads, and Peroni beer. Place has a lot of character, Sicilian style. It was our first time but not the last.
My favorite pizza spot on town!
What an absoluse embarrassment of a restaurant. The food has SOOO much potential. But the inexperienced chaos that ensues at the slightest rush is SO bad that it overshadows the potentially good food making the entire experience complete garbage. The night felt like we wrete at a soft opening of a Denny's or something. It was embarrassing for how absolutely adorable and cozy this place looks and smells. Just don't stay for the service... just get it to go and you MIGHT enjoy it.
Tried the Dolciastra at Pizza by Aromi and I’m still thinking about it. The sweet and savory combo is so good perfectly balanced and not overpowering at all. The crust had that ideal crisp with a soft center, and everything tasted super fresh. Such a solid spot in La Mesa for really good pizza. Definitely ordering this one again.
