The care that Dr. Spiess provided me was antithetical to that provided to my husband by 2 different renowned UPMC hand surgeons. His exam was gentle; his answers to my questions were thorough; his explanation of viable treatments was clear and understandable. But, most meaningful to me as a 75 year old, were his compassionate responses to each of my many concerns. And YIPPEE, my hand is already less swollen and painful after my yesterday's injection. Thank you, Doctor.
I was extremely satisfied with the care I received at PHN. I was happy that Dr. Spiess was able to treat my fracture without surgery. Dr. Spiess and his staff are experts in this field and provide personalized care. I would highly recommend PHN to anyone who has a hand injury.
I could not ask for a better hand doctor! Dr. Speiss and his staff were very attentive to my injury and did absolutely everything necessary to figure out the problems and the best way to treat them. Surgery with him was a great experience and he went above and beyond to take care of my hand. Overall, I am very pleased with the outcome and cannot thank him enough. No more pain!

Simply the best. Seen Dr Spiess twice within a year for an injured thumb then a fractured radius / wrist. The staff, OT therapists and Dr Spiess will take great care of you.
