Such a fun experience and a great group activity! Went with my two best friends and got some of "The Super" buckets, which allowed us to continuously fill and sift through smaller buckets. Each time there was something new to find. Karis was absolutely wonderful; she checked in on us often and helped us identify the different stones and gems we found. Her knowledge and kindness made the experience all the better!
We stopped into the Pisgah Forest Gem Mine while visiting family on vacation in Hendersonville, NC last week. My daughter loves gemstones and we decided to give this a try as I thought she would enjoy it as a nice break. It far exceeded my expectations! The bucket of hidden gems was enormous and it was full of treasures. Megaladon teeth, large and small gemstones, large rose quartz, amethyst, and a full size geode! A nice mix of gem mining and religious themed merchandise.
Karis was great and super helpful identifying the rocks and gemstones for my son. She checked in with us regularly and was overall just wonderful!
We had an amazing experience, Karis was so helpful and knowledgeable about the gems and fossils we found.
