This site was part of the worldwide Spacecraft Tracking and Data Acquisition Network and an integral communications link for the manned space programs Project Gemini and Project Apollo.
The NSA assumed ownership in 1981. The Rosman Research Station was used as a signals intelligence gathering facility until the site was closed by the NSA in 1995.
Their unique and impressive collection of meteorites, gems, and minerals includes a 15.3 carat faceted emerald.
This complex was initially developed by NASA in 1962 as the east coast facility to track satellites and monitor manned space flights. Today, it's a world-class research center
PARI is one of the few sites in the country selected by NASA to receive artifacts from the Space Shuttle Program.
