This place was a huge disappointment. I visited a couple of times last year, and while it wasn’t the best, it was good and reasonably priced. Unfortunately, that is no longer the case. Something has definitely changed. The rice has a completely different flavor and no longer tastes like authentic Puerto Rican rice. The meat was hard, dry, and overcooked, making it difficult to enjoy the meal. Based on my recent visits, the quality of the food has declined significantly. This is a exceptional place to have puertorican food. There bacalito and alcapurrias are like grandma use to make. They open at 12pm and everything is hot, done in the moment. I give them 100% almost forgot there empanadilla is home made type not frozen and fill of meat.

The fried fish wasn’t crispy and lacked flavor, almost like it wasn’t properly fried. The tostones were mushy instead of firm and crispy, and the rice also had very little taste. Overall, the meal felt underseasoned and not worth the price. We spent almost $60 and expected a much better quality meal for that cost. Even small things, like not being able ... read more
