Dr. Berkenwald and his staff saved my life. Last year at this time I was finalizing my advanced directives, filling out application for hospice, and donated my body to science. My Provider is Dr. Jonathan Starkman. He is an excellent Dr., very knowledgeable, caring and very up to date. I believe in him 100%, He had tried other procedures, and ended w/ surgery for a Sacral Instem implant, which was a real game changer, for an overactive bladder problem. now I feel I can actually leave the house with no problem or worries. Brother was diagnosed with cancer. They are making his experience extremely difficult by not getting the referral to insurance and making him go to the office to sign paperwork which would allow the office to talk to me. This is unacceptable. Referrals for needed testing should be done right away. And you should not have a patient going through this have to drive out of his way to sign something. Mail it or fax it!
If you are anywhere in the 413 and need a urologist, these are the ones to see. I am very grateful to this team of Doctors. They did my husband's vasectomy and after years and years of malignant tumors and dozens of surgeries, even after refusing the chemo, I am now in remission from Bladder Cancer. This is a busy office and regardless of little bumps in the road with the staff, it is still the best medical care you can get in urology in the area.
Changed appointment with out calling me. I only found out from text message 2 hours before. My orginal appointment was next week. I just did lab work now I will have to pay for.
