Our basement flooded this spring due to a sump pump failure. Thankfully, my mother has worked in insurance her entire career (including at Pioneer) and suggested we add some policies to cover something like this. Pioneer said we could choose our contractor, so we chose the company that previously finished the basement for us. A terrible insurance company to deal with. Poor leadership which is indicative of management. Will try to wait people out instead of settling a claim and will only do so when it is apparent they have no other option. Unfortunately, many people will make the mistake of choosing them based on price, but once you have to deal with them you will understand why they are cheap.
