Almost killed my father. He was neglected and deteriorated quickly. I went there (he was 2.5 hours from my house so I couldn't get there as frequently as I would have liked) after a few weeks and he was emaciated and severely dehydrated. I requested an ambulance be called and was told they needed to wait for approval, so I called the ambulance. He was retaining urine and toxic. I didn't let him return there. He is in a better facility now, closer to my home and doing much better.
COCKROACHES IN THE BEDS!! - Roaches everywhere. - Patients sleeping in wheelchairs because roaches are in the beds. - I’ve developed bed soars from lack of care. - Complaining, non-attentive C.N.A.s - They have a C.N.A. Named Nathaniel that operates lifts by himself violating state law, and he never gives complete care making him Dangerous. - Patient that screams all night unrestrained. I sent a friend to Pioneer Health Care Center 5 years ago and have been so impressed with the care she has received. My friend was on a downward spiral living at home and this facility has extended her life significantly. Highly recommend this facility! greg
I have worked for Pioneer on a few different occasions & each time it ends the same way, highly disappointed :( The residents ARE cared for w the bare minimum of struggling employees doing their best. Honestly there are plenty of kind & loving staff that work there putting their lives on hold & licenses on the line to take care of your loved ones.
