Worse hospital I've ever been to.
Appointment times are only a 10 minute wait that was my experience
The operator name Jonathan who was answering the phone on the main line at the UPMC West Shore Hospital on 3/10/2026 was very rude and nasty when I called to check on my mother who had surgery. I asked if I could be transferred to the nurses station in recovery to check on her and he said there wasn't one he could transfer me to and then hung up without warning. I called back and asked to speak with a Superviser and he proceeded to hang up on me again. That was very rude and unprofessional and no way to treat someone who is ... read more
This hospital stinks!! Patients waits for hours to get any attention!!!!
We showed up to the ER per doctor's advisement for pneumonia-related issues around 11 am, and we were tended to immediately. At the time, we were one of three groups of patients in the waiting room. After initial check in & vitals were taken, there has been a lot of waiting.. now the waiting room is filled, and we've been waiting more than two hours to be taken back for further analysis.
