This emergency room is awful. If you have life threatening illness, and 40 hours to kill, you might see a doctor. If you have something that they cannot figure out with you barrage of initial tests, you sit and wait until they want to fit you in. They do not have the decency to update you on your status, nor answer any questions that you may have. If you visit during normal business hours, be prepared to wait all of them. The ER at West Shore has really missed the mark. I’ve been there a few times and I’ve never had long wait times. HOWEVER, as I sit here at this moment I’ve been here more than 5 hours. This is truly unprofessional & absolutely ridiculous. Beware.
Today I visited my friend at the hospital I met with a beautiful soul name Sid she is a great nurse with excellent bed manners and a warm hospitality I wish if am sick one day to be seen here. Thank you all personal at UPMC you are wonderful professionals.
Perfect example of our health care system farming apart.
