I would like to share my story Dr. Patel and the wonderful staff at Pinnacle Retina truly saved my eyesight. I was only 19 years old with only one good eye, and when my retina detached, I was terrified. By the time I arrived, I could barely see anything at all. Dr. Patel took incredible care of me through 3 successful surgeries; reattaching my retina, removing the gel, and later removing a dense cataract. ....why do these things happen over the Christmas/New Years period? Without warning I woke up one morning with little to no vision in my right eye. I thought the condition would remedy itself. After a few days of no improvement I mentioned the issue with my wife. She convinced me to see my primary care practitioner who informed me that I might have a retina issue and should be referred to a specialist. Dr Patel and his team are the best any where I was almost blind and other Drs had given up but when Dr Patel and his team started working on my eyes they are doing great and he is the only eye Doctor I will see from now on
Great staff and a kind, knowledgeable, thorough doctor. However, scheduling is an issue as the doctor often arrives to his building well after the first scheduled slot (today, one hour). The waiting room is quite small, which makes the delays more uncomfortable, nearly impossible when you have one-two handy-capped individuals which is what I saw today at 8:30 AM. I do appreciate the quality of care, but I wish there was more consideration for patients’ time and comfort.
Dr. Patel and his team are very knowledgeable, professional and personable I never had a negative experience at this practice. One thing I love the most about Dr. Patel and his team is we both engage in dialogue, they explain the purpose of every procedure, explain the target numbers, and they give you tips on how to improve your numbers. He's one of the absolute best Retina specialist in the country!
