While the clinical care may be standard, the administrative, billing, and insurance practices at this office are highly problematic. I am writing this to warn other patients about the lack of transparency and administrative incompetence at Dr. Funk’s office. The dental hygienist and dentist were both fine. However, the front office staff are incompetent in my opinion.They called 4 days before my appointment to gather my insurance info. No call back so assume they take my insurance. After my cleaning, they ran my card, and told me they were no in network. I owed $234. Then they said the insurance company willl reimburse 50% (right?). Dental care: I feel pretty good. Front Office: Feel misled and lied to. wanted to charge me $55 to change dental insurance and claimed i signed paperwork for new patient agreeing to such fee. i requested the paperwork and there was no such fee and they would not waive it. so i cancelled and they charged me $55 (for cancellation) when my paperwork said $45 (which they adjusted). Pretty soon, you will be charged to use the chairs in the lobby. I don't mind charges that are reasonable, but you have to be transparent about it.

I LOVE Pinnacle Peak. The service is excellent. Going to the dentist is not my favorite experience. Over the past year, Pinnacle Peak Dental Care in Scottsdale changed everything. I was referred to Jordyn and Taylor Funk by a family member, but was still hesitant. After some issues that arose during the pandemic, I really needed orthodontic care. I've been a patient of Pinnacle Peak Dental Care for several years and have been extremely satisfied with the professionalism and quality of the care I've received over the years. I can’t say enough good things about my dental hygienist, Pam. She has a very gentle touch, takes her time to do a meticulous cleaning, and is always friendly and professional. As someone who can get anxious at the dentist, her calm manner and clear explanations make a huge difference.
