I went to renew my drivers license at the south Pinellas complex. I was informed by the woman at the reception desk that there was at least a two hour wait, it would be best to make an appointment, she slipped me a piece of paper with the number. I immediately called from the my vehicle in the parking lot, where I was informed the next available appointment was March! Government employees get all of the holidays, pensions and other benefits, new buildings and work environments but generally are the least efficient.
I just passed my CDL exam at Pinellas Technical college and went in to get my Class A issued. But no, they have a made up rule that you must be a resident of the county to be serviced here, even though there's no technical reason why that must be the case. State DMV offices are able to issue licenses for any resident of the State. The woman was rude and not helpful. Do not recommend.
