BEWARE!!! The website clearly states "free cancellation". It also states below "book now, pay later". I reserved 1 room and "because" it stated right next to the room choice "free cancellation", I booked 1 night as we were thinking of staying over to lessen a drive. Since it stated "free cancellation", I felt comfortable making this reservation. 4 Days later, I cancelled the reservation as we decided to no longer stay over. Quiet country inn.
For $100 or less, The Pine Hill Arms would be kind of reasonable. For $158 ($176 including taxes) it is 2 star. The good - great location - Pine Hill is great. The bad - we stayed in a Queen and the bathroom was not only small but falling apart / very bad workmanship. The common areas are not clean and the place where they leave coffee / bagels is dark with no windows. There are cables in hallways that are definitely not up to code and no AC in room. Probably the worst hotel experience of my life. Stayed in February and the was NO hot water and NO heat. Went to bed in winter clothes and woke up sick. Terrible mattress and stained. Incredibly small space (and we live in NYC and know small spaces). The bathroom was so narrow my husband could not fit through the door without turning sideways with his shoulder width. If you are overweight in the slightest you could not use the toilet! No toiletries (peaked in another room and there was some must have forgot to restock ours).... read more
