We LOVE Pine Cone Lodge!! We have visited many times for snowmobiling trips, friend getaways and have celebrated many of our large family Christmas celebrations at this resort. I have stayed in almost every cabin available and every experience has been exceptional. Bonnie is wonderful to work with and an amazing host. We came up very last minute as we had a death in the family. I booked the reservation on the VRBO app which I've done with many of our vacation rentals. When we got there the gal who greeted up was very rude about our dogs even though the listing was dog friendly and the reason we booked it too. And she very rude because of one of the breeds of our dogs. Pine Cone Lodge was the perfect place to spend a beautiful fall weekend and a much needed getaway! We explored the area by biking on Heartland Trail and hiking in Paul Bunyan State Forest. We enjoyed shopping in Park Rapids, Nevis and Walker as well as trying out some local restaurants and brewery's. Of all the places we visited, Pine Cone Lodge was our favorite! Spent an amazing weekend with 2 of my daughters, sunrise views were stunning and the cabin was impeccably decorated and clean. Best night's sleep I've had in a very long time.
