I just spoke with Tim Spacek, the CEO of Pilgrim Tours. During our conversation, he remarked rather casually, “I’ve Googled you.” I found the comment unsettling and somewhat inappropriate. I’m unclear as to why he felt the need to disclose that. I expressed that his remark struck me as both unprofessional and inconsistent with the Christian values he represents. Our experience with Pilgrim Tours on the Footprints of Paul and John itinerary had both strengths and notable challenges. To begin with the positives, Pilgrim Tours does a solid job providing reliable transportation and comfortable lodging at a reasonable price point. Logistics like airport transfers, hotels, and bus travel were generally smooth, which helped reduce stress in a multi-country trip. We traveled to Turkey and Greece with Pilgrim Tours. Trip was amazing! Everything was very well organized and accommodations were excellent. Guides were extremely knowledgeable and very personable.
The war started the third day into our Pilgrim Israel tour. Upon being informed that the war started, our tour guide kept us well informed about our evacuation through Cairo,Egypt. Mickey was an excellent tour guide. We really enjoyed the two+ days of our tour. The tour company rebooked our flights and made arrangements for our ground transportation.
