ABSOLUTELY HORRIFIC. Cannot even file anonymous complaint on contractor.. instead the punishment ties to my home and not the contractor not following the rules. The punishment would then affect me and the next contractor who actually completes the work. What kind of elementary school level logic is this?? Pathetic.
Had to get a permit for a water heater. The ladies on the phone and in person were extremely helpful and pleasant to work with. We were in and out in no time at all.
Been working for over 30 days now to renew a contractors license and no one answers the phone it’s takes 2-3 days to get a call back. It’s hard enough out there for sub contractors in this state but this building department is determined to make it harder and less small businesses successful. Shannon has been rude and horrible to work with in licensing and her communication is awful.
My experience with this county building department is overwhelmingly negative. In working with 9 other counties across the state I can say that this process stands alone for its lack of coordination, communication, or professionalism. Frankly if they responded with even a portion of the speed as they do to the Google Reviews they would likely get twice the work done.
