The staff is well trained to give you the runaround and tell you to call for questions to be answered. They like to deal with contractors and not the general citizen public. Most building departments have code books, sample plans for standard projects, and printed instructions for layperson. This building and inspections department does not have such. I find that they are so busy doing inspections, that they do not have time to review detailed plans and materials.

I would just like to say Thank you so much for helping me today. I didn't catch the clearks name seated in first cubicle. I had a permit issue I needed desperately to have resolved for my 93 year old parents. She directed me to Mr Nolan. Who helped me with my issue. I sincerely appreciate you taking the time with me today .

Honestly the worst building department in the state. When you call for questions about permitting or code regulations, half of the people who answer do not know anything. And the other half give you nothing but attitude for asking them to do their job, the company needs to be torn down and rebuilt.

I can never get ahold of the building dept, even when I leave voicemails they are almost never are addressed. One of the more frustrating municipalities I have to deal with
