Update: five days after hanging the birdhouse off the deck in March 2026 and the blue jays already built a nest and laid three eggs. March 2025: While my wife was shopping there several weeks ago I was browsing and purchased a wooden birdhouse for blue jays. I hung it up on our backyard deck and a week later a pair of blue jays made it their home. They are now taking turns bringing food to the babies. How Pike Nurseries knew blue jays would like that birdhouse amazes me.
