Honestly their practice my be "rough" or "old fashioned" but they ARE helping my wife with HER migraines. Yes some of her advice seemed harsh.... but not everything works for everyone or sweet to the ears!
I see Jessica for migraine care. I've seen (and have fired) other neurologists in town that have terrible patient relations / bedside manner, but I have not had that problem with her. She's very empathetic and quick to take action/make suggestions to optimize my care. I have other complex neuro issues that I see an out of state specialist for and would not try to handle locally. However, for what I see Jessica for, she's exactly what I need. Easy to get in to and communicate with, responsive, and caring.
I struggle with Chronic Migraines & was ran through so many medications & told there was only one left to try, which left me hopeless. When I asked to be referred to Mayo she stated “ I haven’t gotten a patient in there in 4 years.” Once again tearing away what little hope I had left. Thanks to my other doctors, I successfully got into Mayo Clinic & have new hope. I called & complained several times to the clinic manager about how incredibly rude the nurse Mandy was as well. This place was my last hope. Thanks to the etiquette of this office, I have given up on all of my medical issues. To be treated like I was was the last straw, it's not how businesses should be run. I will not be a patient at this practice. Ever. They don't care, people. We are just a number to them. I would not recommend this place for new patients who are desperately trying to get help just to live.
I wanted a provider to partner with me on my health. This provider does not listen to me or understand my needs. I have yet to find any good providers in Waterloo. I would not recommend.
