The America Cancer society states that people who have thyroid cancer have a higher risk of breast cancer. I’m assuming if you’re reading this you’re looking for an ent and possibly have the same cancer I did. In my opinion, this doctor is good with the surgery part of his work. Saw Dr Lavertu 4x starting March 2023 (parotid area-hard movable marble felt by me) last time August when I had to plead over and over again for an MRI as I really wanted to know what the mass that we felt and no longer wanted to just watch it, not knowing if it was a cancerous tumor or not. He had originally ordered a ct in March/April (the radiologist noted something like may want to follow up with mri as ct didn’t show a tumor) Anyway I finally got the MRI and the tumor clearly showed up. I had someone else remove it
Dr. Lavertu performed what turned out to be a very challenging procedure of removing my thyroid. He selected a team which proved to be skilled, caring and quite efficient. Although my procedure involved more work than what was thought to be in a normal thyroidectomy, I am so happy that I had Dr. Laertu and his team working on my behalf. His reputation in my opinion is well deserved. He is a pleasant, warm and caring surgeon and I will be forever grateful to have had him to oversee my medical care.
