It is a fairly difficult track that needs to be respected. There were snakes and leeches on the way, so have to keep that in mind. Other than that, it is very secluded with no other hikers in sight. The initial steep descent becomes an issue on the way back - which is to be expected, so stock up on some energy bars and water before heading back up. Some sections of the track along the gully were very overgrown, making it hard to navigate. Other sections were outright damaged due to the landslides. I completed the return hike... read more

It starts in a moderate sized, neat, dirt carpark. Wooden stairs beckon you down into the forest as birds sing and the purple wildflowers splash the bush with gleeful colour. The sound of running water falls into your ears. Suddenly the forest changes.
