We had an awful time and experience with Pieper in Middletown, CT. Our dog suffers from epilepsy, yet they restricted our ability to call for updates. We were given a single phone line that was constantly busy; if you missed your allotted window, you had to wait an entire day for a response. While we were fortunate enough to afford the thousands of dollars demanded upfront just for an evaluation, their rigid stance on payment was a major red flag. They do not stand by their work. I’ve been a patient for three years at this vet spent over 20 grand making sure my dog is OK with these people Recently, he had a hematoma that he had surgery on in which the doctor said that 99% of the time it won’t come back Well, it did come back and now they’re trying to charge me for the surgery all over again, along with a consulting fee and other garbage fees to inspect the work that they did less than a month ago. The level of care exceeded my expecatations. Whoever answered the phone when I first called in. Excellent customer service! How they took the time with me and my pet Mocha.
The doctor was very attentive and she never made me feel rushed. The front desk staff was very friendly, pleasant, and personable each time I've visited the office-a large deciding factor in choosing to stick with this office for Melody's care. Everyone was fantastic! The compassion that was clearly relayed both verbally and non-verbally is what I appreciated the most. I brought my pup in for a routine check-up, so I can only imagine how kind they would be if it were a true emergency.
