Went to see these people on Friday morning at 8am. I was told they sent in a prescription for me for nerve pain. Even though I called twice that day to ask about it, and was told it would be sent, they never sent it. I was in terrible pain all weekend. What kind of doctor's office just forgets their patients? I would definitely not recommend these people if you need pain relief.
Doctors are governed by ethical principles such as non-maleficence (do no harm), beneficence (act in the best interest of the patient), justice (treat all patients fairly), and autonomy (respect patients' decisions and confidentiality). Piedmont Spine Specialists have breached their duties as a result of my visit with them. I am very disappointed in the care I barely received. I arrived 15 minutes early for my appointment as advised, then called after driving around for 15 minutes looking for parking to notify them I would be late. They assured me it would be fine. After I found parking and walked across the entire Duke Raleigh campus, they collected my copay and refused to see me. I was 14 minutes late. The P1 garage is half closed due to construction and parking is a nightmare. I won’t be coming back to this practice.

Incredibly rude, unhelpful staff. Received my pre-treatment call that was primarily to secure payment, not actually discuss the procedure or prep. Evidently steroid back injections are "elective" and would require cash upfront and this location (since it's not actually "Duke") will not honor financial assistance. Yes, I dropped the "f word" at the situation not derogatorily toward the person calling and got chastised for that and told to go somewhere else that could help someone in my "financial situation".
