My husband experienced stroke symptoms this weekend and we brought him to this er in the middle of the night. They were wonderful. They immediately took steps to make sure he was safe. I’m sorry I don’t remember his name, but our nurse (he was from Canada) absolutely made the entire experience better. He knew how to put both my husband and myself at ease and keep us calm in a scary situation while doing his job efficiently. His kindness won’t be forgotten. I hope he sees this. I was very excited to see that Piedmont had a new medical emergency in Ellijay, GA. I have not had the opportunity to use the facility at this date, but am very concerned about all the negative reviews. It is time for Piedmont to take serious commitment to resolving these issues so people have confidence in the services being provided.

Arrived at the emergency room on 6/29 at 10 pm. Check in was quick and entire staff was excellent. I was suffering from severe chest pain and the testing started quickly. My complaint was the overall condition of the room. Small pieces of trash on the floor in many locations. Went to use the restroom and it was shocking how dirty it was. Toilet was just gross and thankfully I didn’t have to sit on the toilet seat. Just dirty and even the trash can was full to the top and laying on the floor around the can. If I could select zero stars I would!! Brought my daughter (1 year old) to emergency room late at night due to multiple days of high fever, blisters in her mouth, and bleeding gums. She wouldn’t drink or eat so I became very concerned. The doctor did not even bother to look in her mouth!! He said it was Hand Foot Mouth and she would be fine after a few days - it had already been going on for 5+ days.
