Arrived at the emergency room on 6/29 at 10 pm. Check in was quick and entire staff was excellent. I was suffering from severe chest pain and the testing started quickly. My complaint was the overall condition of the room. Small pieces of trash on the floor in many locations. Went to use the restroom and it was shocking how dirty it was. Toilet was just gross and thankfully I didn’t have to sit on the toilet seat. Just dirty and even the trash can was full to the top and laying on the floor around the can. If I could select zero stars I would!! Brought my daughter (1 year old) to emergency room late at night due to multiple days of high fever, blisters in her mouth, and bleeding gums. She wouldn’t drink or eat so I became very concerned. The doctor did not even bother to look in her mouth!! He said it was Hand Foot Mouth and she would be fine after a few days - it had already been going on for 5+ days. Everyone is great here except the Older lady receptionist during the dayshift. She is very rude and unprofessional. Unfortunately I suffered a dog bite yesterday and went in by ambulance. On intake she was rude and unprofessional as to my emergency. 4 am ish today I had to revisit the emergency dept for compactions of the initial dog bite. Diagnosed with a skin infection treated and given 2 antibiotics. The doctor and all staff were great. They always are. Husband went in impacted and miserable and he was given the best care and compassion everyone was kind and professional and clean 👍👍Andrea the nurse was awesome and we were very grateful
I had very rapid heart beat, dizziness, low BP Labor Day. Went to Piedmont ER Ellijay. No line on a holiday! Described my symptoms to the admissions lady who asked me to be seated while she went to talk with a nurse. Nurse came and got me within a minute, took me to a tech who ran an ECG. Within in 2-3 minutes I was on a table attended by very competent and caring nurses Heather and Shelby, Dr Williams and several more techs.
