Piedmont Healthcare is very difficult to deal with. I had a scan in Kennesaw on December 29th that was pre-authorized by my insurance and fully covered, but Piedmont keeps submitting the bill with a different billing code than was used to submit the preauthorization so the claim keeps getting denied. I’ve wasted hours on the phone trying to resolve this and every time I call they say they will resubmit it and that can take 30-45 days but I need to call to check every 2 weeks because they don’t follow up unless I call. The only reason i'm giving this place 3 stars is because the building is nice & clean. The technician I had to do my ultrasound was really nice, I regret not asking her name so that I can include it in here but she was great. The bad experience I had was with scheduling specifically Tory. She acted like she couldn't hear me & the way she was replying was giving off bad mood vibes. Very clean facility...Front desk acknowledged me when I was checking myself in...No problem there at all... I had an appointment scheduled at 7:30. Came by 7:15 to do paperwork. Finally at 8:00 am, my name was called and Rep asked me to step into the office. Seems my Dr. didn't send correct order for mammogram. You would think, because this facility is Piedmont, my doctor is under Piedmont as well, someone would pick up the phone and ask for the correct order. I had to go in for my annual mammogram today. It is usually awkward and uncomfortable and I dread the experience. I usually go to Piedmont West but decided to try this location instead. The lady who performed my test today was Valerie. She was professional and managed to do the test with very little discomfort. I think this is the least uncomfortable mammogram I’ve ever had. She is awesome. The front desk was friendly and efficient. Overall this was as good as this sort of test gets. I think. I will return next year.
