Thank you Piedmont Fire Engine 1 for driving 370 miles to help save Santa Monica Canyon from the Palisades fire. Out of hundreds of homes in the canyon, we only lost a handful.
Piedmont fire department is simply the best! When we purchased our house we called them to come over and do an inspection of the back yard which I was nervous would be a fire hazard with all the trees. They made an appointment and arrived on time. They gave us some suggestions on what we should do to protect our deck and pointed out other suggestions on what we should do to protect the homes on our block by asking neighbors to cut down old dead trees.
