I hate this company I wish duke power was in my area they lack everything they prepaid sucks u a pay 50 a week to keep lights on and also they deposit for lights is outrageous nobody wants to give you guys almost 400 for a deposit like that is crazy I need a free month of light I’ve paid them wayyyyy to much money DONT MOVE I PIEDMONT ELECTRIC AREA GO WITH DUKE POWER THEY ARE WAYY BETTER

Pretty high rates and despite that we get a lot of blackouts - any snow or wind, or, like tonight, with calm night. I had much better service when I lived in much poorer country

they are always behind duke power in getting electricity restored. They seem to have a bunch of lazy technicians working(or lack thereof) for them.

Worst company EVER!!!!! If you are a tiny bit past due on your bill THEY SHOW UP AT YOUR HOUSE for payment!! Do they honestly think I will pay some random guy that just shows up!!!! I wish we could have a real company instead of this one pretending to be something their not.

Never buy a house that is serviced by Piedmont Electric Membership Corporation! Not only do they charge much more than Duke Power per KWh, but they also add over $30 on top of that each month for a 'facility maintenance fee". I learned the hard way and don't want anyone else to make the same mistake. Co-ops, in general, are rip-offs, but this one is particularly irksome.
