I had a Piedmont employee at the Hillsborough branch to obtain and use my personal email without my permission. I asked him not to use my email again but when I called to set up my utility account, I found out that he had added my email to his own utility account. Management acknowledged the inappropriate use of my personal information by the employee but then suggested that I, as the victim of the breach, create a new email to use for Piedmont correspondence only in order to prevent further misuse. We had an issue with failed electric to 1/2 of our home. We called our provider, piedmont electric. They came quickly and were able to diagnose the problem as a failed main breaker. They turned off the entire breaker for repair. We had Mr. Electric of Chapel Hill come and do the repair work. Then piedmont electric returned to turn the power back on. Jacob and Brandon were excellent in their work, but most appreciated was their ability to communicate with us, keeping us posted on progress and getting the job done! Thank you a... read more

This is the 3rd time this month my power has went out and haven’t been able to use it for hours. On top of that it’s never just a flicker every single time it’s off for 5+ hours. Highly inconvenient when you work 10 hours a day. This is a similar situation that I had with spectrum, except when it comes to power, they’re the only option I have so I can’t cancel otherwise there’s no way I’d continue giving money to a company who can provide consistent service. Constant power outages and expensive rates, truly worse than Duke energy. The estimates for power restoration is also never correct.
