This mechanic use to be amazing; close to where I live, quick and good work, and great communications. Now, not so much. I asked for work to be done; they did work I did not ask for. They gave me an oil change when I didn't ask for one. They don't communicate anymore, even keeping my car overnight without an update until I walked down to talk to them about it.
