I’m writing this after seeing what my brother went through with Pickles Auctions. He bought a car that was listed with no mechanical issues, but it had obvious and loud engine problems when delivered. Pickles keeps saying they “don’t do inspections,” but that’s not the issue — the problem is they sold a faulty car without being transparent about it. I trusted the description provided, which mentioned no mechanical problems or issues, but once I received the vehicle, I discovered it’s a complete lemon. Sold my step father's Clubsport for more than we expected. Great result and really good communication throughout the process.
Was interested in a car coming up for auction so visited the facility to view the car. Was told there was no viewing allowed, despite the fact I could see the car through the glass door into the warehouse… Having worked in the motor auctions industry in the past, I understand there are certain limitations such as no test driving, but no viewing seems odd. What’s more annoying than anything is there’s no mention of this on the website anywhere and there’s no option to make an appointment or similar to view vehicles. Just luck... read more
