VA uses this as one of their transportation providers. Drivers are great, but the dispatch is the worst. At least once a week they are late for a scheduled pickup and always have an excuse. I can understand emergencies, but it see,s to be poor routing and scheduling that causes most of there problems. You may get an apology if you call them and you may not. They should make the dispatchers go on the runs to see exactly what goes on while out. This is not a service I would choose if there was another option through VA.

In May 2013 I witnessed a Pickaway Plains Ambulance driver escorting an elderly woman wearing a neck brace in a wheelchair to pick up x-rays at Riverside Hospital in Columbus before going on to a doctor's appointment. While waiting for the x-rays to be copied, the Pickaway Plains Ambulance driver got a call from her dispatcher to go on another call.
