Oh my goodness! What an excellent find. We chanced upon this wonderful place...and thank goodness we did! Horrible experience – This was by far the WORST EXPERIENCE I've had at any restaurant ever. Went with my wife and two friends. We had reservations, and upon arrival the owner was very rude to my wife, telling us to wait outside while other guests got to wait inside. Rude and Threatening Waiter – After living in the North End for over a year and frequenting many of it's restaurants while growing up north of Boston, I never thought a night out to dinner in the neighborhood would result in one the most bizarre and unpleasant dining experiences of my life. Delicious and intimate – We had dinner here last Saturday night (2/26/05) and were immediately seated at 6pm without a reservation. The bruschetta appetizer was delicious. I got the sole special and the fish melted in my mouth... the waiter was prompt and attentive and the food did not take long to be delivered to our table. The menu is somewhat limited but worth it, and it is also reasonably priced. Great place for a romantic dinner for two!
A worthwhile dining experience! – A very nice North End eatery slighly off the beaten path. The antipasto was very good, and I highly recommend the mushroom crepe appetizer. We soaked up every drop of the sauce with our bread. Our entrees were solid. Our waiter helped us pick an excellent value off the wine list.
Little nest is a big find – Piccolo Nido means little nest in Italian, and it is a wonderful small resteraunt in the North End of Boston. Pino the owner is a gracious and quite entertaining host. The food is wonderful and the decour is charming and a great withdraw from the crowds on Hanover street. Try the Vittelo Valdostana or the Poccini Mushroom Ravioli for the main course, which is perfectly finished with a limonccelo.
