Came here for a birthday, honestly best food in Culver City hands down. Get the chicken katsu and ribeye. The dessert smores are amazing!!! Loved the mojai drink.
Piccalilli is truly a special place. The food, the service, the bar, the ambiance, the location - all top tier. Hands down best place to eat and drink in Culver City. Do not sleep!
Nothing notable to report regarding the food, but I left feeling unsettled by a couple of things. As we were closing out our tab, we observed one of the cooks still wearing his apron while interacting with a customer's dog near the bar area. Seeing a kitchen employee handling a dog while still in food-service uniform struck me as extremely unsanitary and raises concerns about hygiene practices. 🤢 Additionally, there was a "Kitchen Love" fee automatically added to the bill. I went here a year and a half ago and was blown away. I recently went back and while the service was immaculate, all of the dishes were unbalanced. The crudo was strangely too salty to eat fully and the other dishes were now too acidic. I point this out because at its price point it is expected. It’s a shame because they used to do it all really well ☹️
Sad because had high expectations :( flavors everything was so sour and salty that it hurt my tongue and lips.
