I live out of state, and this was my third time trying Halwani Pizza—specifically the South African one. Unfortunately, the quality has dropped significantly this time, especially when it comes to the meat. Really disappointing. Not sure if I’ll be giving it another chance.

Ordered two slices of cheese pizza. On the plus side the person behind the counter was very pleasant. The slices were made fresh while I waited. On the negative side, the crust was too thick and did not get cooked thoroughly. The sauce was bland - frankly I could have gotten tastier sauce from a jar of Ragu - and the cheese had no taste at all. If I do return I will most likely try something else on the menu. This place is very small which encourages one to order to go.

This restaurant could be a good takeout pizza place, but not a good dine-in one. There was no restroom and WiFi for customers. Parking could also be a problem. Speaking of their food, there were many options in the menu, like gyros, subs, wings, salad, and international style pizzas. I ordered the deluxe Stromboli. The bun was baked well, but extremely thick. There were not many sausages and pepperoni in it, but a lot of banana peppers and cheese. Ingredients were fresh but less. Entered at 1am, hoping for a late-night pizza fix. Ordered and paid for a small pizza. The young lady at the counter couldn't tell us how long the wait would be. Others asked, and the same answer was given: "Who knows?" We sat for over 30 minutes and didn't see a single pizza come out. It was like a pizza black hole. Others came in to ask about their pizzas, and the mystery deepened. After an hour, still nothing. We punted and went home, pizza-less and annoyed. Halwani owes us a pizza!
