I should have ate at waffle house – This was by far the worst food I can remember, thought we would try the place, salad was oily, breadsticks were not Sticks at all, and the sauce was like dirty water. after what seemed like forever, what looked like child's portions arrived. I had chicken parmesan with the Alfredo and noodles, it came on two small plates witch mentI had to eat off two plates rather than one decent size one. The sauce is what ruined it, to sweet, to much rosemary and cinnamon, I had to order a bowl of alfre... read more
Great service, delicious food, very accommodating – We were devastated to find that the reservation for my daughter's bridesmaid's luncheon at Rick's restaurant in Dahlonega - was not honored - the restaurant didn't open that day and the owner had no explanation for not honoring our reservation. We went into Dahlonega, needing to find a nice place for the bridesmaids for lunch rather quickly and went into Piazza. The staff was wonderful, the food was delicious (the ravioli sampler was fabulous) and we had a quiet table, larg... read more
Great food – I too don't understand the bad review. I lived in dahlonega as a student and ate there on many occasions. The food was always excellent. The salad is great, the pizza is good and the pasta dishes are tasty! I live in Athens now and would gladly drive the 2hrs+ to have some of their food and visit the town.
Review of Piazza Restaurant in Dahlonega, GA – Great tiny cozy restaurant. Slow when full, which is often. Locals love it. The bread, salad, and pastas are wonderful. We have drive here every week for the past few years and have our favorite servers. Iced tea and coffee are excellent. Occ. under staffed and this causes too long a wait (for a table and/or service and/or food). Unlimited italian salad bowl is wonderful. Unlimited bread awesome! I love their pizza too. Made with what you want on it. One of our favorite restaura... read more
Great restaurant – I went to Piazza with my fiance and my mom after a long day of wedding planning in nearby Cleveland, and we enjoyed the food so much that we are thinking of using the restaurant for our rehearsal dinner. I'm not sure why there is a really bad review. The bread was flaky and delicious. I don't know whether they make their food in-house or order some/all of it-- don't really care. Great food, great prices, great service.
absolutely horrible – I have given Piazza's the benefit of the doubt, I tried it for a 2nd time, hoping that the first time I went was on an "off" night. No such luck. Piazza's is one of the worst, if not THE worst Italian restaurants I have ever eaten at. The marinara is over seasoned and acidic. The salads are mediocre at best, and the only thing worth eating is the table bread, which is not even house made, it's from the freezer of their food distributor. Infact, you will be hard pressed to find ANYTHING that is house mad... read more
