Do Not Darken Their Door Worst "service" ever.
Do Not Darken Their Door Worst "service" ever. Spent $390 for repairs and returned to me exactly as they left. NOT WORKING! Given $265 back and told that the one item works partially.. kinda sorta. Just needs to be disassembled and cleaned but that was not done. Refuses to tell who does repairs and refuses to show any paper trail that shows items were ever sent out for repair. Patronize at your own risk!
Never going there again The battery door on my camera wouldn't stay shut, I took it in to Piasa Photo, they said it would take 2 weeks. Two and a half months and many phone calls later, I get my camera back. I go to put the batteries in, and the door won't stay shut. He charged me nearly 90 dollars to do nothing. I still ended up with electrical tape holding the camera door shut. This place is a FRAUD. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!
Recommended Chuck at Piasa Photo went out of his way to make right what had been a really bad experience. He located the lost originals, sent off my movie to be redone, and is giving me a refund for having waited 9 months.
Things have changed. I guarantee you if visit Piasa Photo again you will see a big change. The problem, Pat Mayden, is no longer employed there. He was hateful, prejudice and overall just a mean person and a opinionated jerk. Chuck is in charge and you could not ask for a nicer more knowledgeable person.
People are too harsh While I am sort of new to the Photography world, just starting while in Iraq in 2005-2006-2007, and by no means a professional; I found the employees at Piasa very helpful at finding a lens for my Cannon S5 IS. As some of you may know, this camera is for amateurs, but I did a lot of research before buying it, and have done a lot of research since. So when I am ready to go for my SLR and 300mm lens I will more then likely go to Piasa first. Bryan Scroggins
Terrible Poor attitude. Thieves. Do not trust them! High prices and poor quality. Need a lesson in customer service. Who acts like this? I've never seen such attitudes and unprofessional behavior. I cannot believe they will be in business much longer. Don't trust them. Go to a real camera shop in St Louis. Any extra gas money you spend going to St Louis will be saved by better prices and better picture quality.
Poor customer service This is a very small photo shop, the employees are not professional, the prices are high and the quality of photo developing is poor. Location is good, right in the middle of the tourist area.
