There’s nothing bad I can say about Phoenix House.I was there for almost 6 months and I loved it.If your looking to live sober,this would be a great start on your journey.Most of the staff are caring,compassionate,in recovery themselves and give you sound advice.They offer several programs,there’s vending machines and the food isn’t all that bad.I made several friends that I like to call “winners”.I did what I was taught in recovery...I stuck with them.Thrive was nice enough to come threw and do seminars.We also got to go to... read more
Still here as of December 4th 2024 I gotta say this is the second phoenix house I been to besides wainscott and it's different here vs wainscott you make the best of it it's up to you and your sobriety, although I will say it's quite lonely here but making the best of it day by day .
A year today they released my beautiful nephew and he was in no condition to go home but The House sent them home vulnerable mentally fragile from heroin addiction but they sent him home home with no intervention no oversight he called the facility several times before his death My nephew called several times for help and nobody helped him or called him back and he overdosed days later and now he's dead I don't recommend this facility do whatever you have to do and spend the money to save your child and go to a quality facil... read more
I just heard from my friend (we have led different paths but I am still in touch with him as we used to be closer), and I am sad to hear that he is being treated like a child and he is 34 years old. He is a long term resident of the house . He is kind and respectful and has special needs. I am saddened and angry to hear that he has requested follow up medical attention and has not only been denied but is getting an attitude from the staff for even asking.
