UGH!! – YUCK. Well, we used to like this place and were regular customers. Last night, my husband found a TOOTHPICK in his noodles. We are now looking for a new pho restaurant, because we won't be coming back here.

What the Pho!! – This isn't the best places for Pho, but it does what it does fairly consistantly and in a bigger way - multiple locations, large dining area, and large portions. I think I've been to Pho3, Pho25, Pho Hoa, Pho 99, etc....There's so many in San Jose, CA, that they really need to have a good product in order to survive, and I'd say that Pho 79 almost also has what it takes to survive in San Jose's pho saturated market.

the good stuff, cheap – This is always a great place to visit for mouth-watering Vietnamese noodles. That's all they serve, and at a great price. They don't skimp on the meat or ingredients, and the soup is very well made. Service may be a bit brusque, ranging from average to sub-par, but coming from Asia, this doesn't bother me too much.
