Phipps Memorial is a family owned and operated business serving the Central Texas community. Originally, Walter Dietz ( Joe Phipps' grandfather ) went into the monument business in 1903. Jim Phipps, Joe's father, began working for his father-in-law at Weller and Dietz Memorial Company in 1933. Shortly afterwards, Weller was bought out to form Dietz Memorial Company.
