I have loved eating here for DECADES! Such a cornerstone of Montgomery, and the food never fails!
We ordered 2 Ribeyes with loaded baked potatoes and a house salad. 3 drinks. $109. The ribeyes were terrible. They were thin, doused in salt, one end on both of ours was solid fat, not marbled...they were overcooked and tough. I ended up feeding mine to our dogs, it was that bad. The bacon pieces on the potatoe were uncooked, some pieces looked like they were raw. The potatoes were still hard in the middle, also fed that to the dogs. For 109 I expected way better from Phil's. Had an amazing experience at this establishment. Marissa, the owner, was such a lovely lady and made us feel incredibly welcome. She took the time to personally explain the restaurant’s haunted history and shared some fascinating stories about the building, which made the experience even more memorable.
