What a fun bookstore! I loved being able to browse the shelves with a glass of wine in hand, which made the whole experience feel relaxed and unique. Our kids had a great time exploring too, and even my husband enjoyed himself... probably because they serve beer! The atmosphere was welcoming, the selection was great, and the employees were bet nice. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in Charleston.
Come for the books and beverages, but stick around because everyone’s welcome at the table. My first visit was a Sunday afternoon. I pictured a quiet corner, a good book, maybe a coffee or a cocktail to match the mood. Instead I walked into a room full of crosswords and friendly strangers waving me over to help crack a clue. This is one of the best corners in Charleston. Fantastic books, and amazing people. I can’t stop recommending it to everyone in my circle of friends and people I talk to on the streets.
