Just met Dr, Smucker. What a breath of fresh air. He is articulate with intuitive intelligence. His words had larger meanings that helped me understand my options and the nuances of each choice. He was gentle about reminding me that I am getting older and might need to step back and look at how much heavy work I am doing. I left with a proactive plan, and great hope. (As long as I cooperate with nature)LOL. The other staff were all friendly and sharp! I was so happy with my office visit.
Dr. Smucker did a an excellent job of reviewing my MRI images and report with me. He explained everything well and made sure I understood what issues I have and that those issues cannot be fixed with surgery.

What a pleasant experience my husband and I had on my first visit. Dr. Smucker went over the results of the MRI and felt I was doing OK right now, but wanted to see me in 3 months. Someone from his office called ME in mid July and scheduled an appointment for September. He was respectful, thoroughly explained the results, took the time to get to know each of us and listen to how I was feeling with the various issues in my neck.
Dr Smucker went over all of my imaging and patiently explained everything we were looking at. He told me the surgery I need is one where I should go to a surgeon who does the procedure often. This was not his wheelhouse. I admired him for telling me that. He gave me some great advice and different avenues to explore.
