When the emergency room at Greenville Memorial Hospital couldn't resolve my severe back pain, they referred me to Prisma's Neurosurgical and Spine Institute. My case was assigned to Dr. Phillip Hodge. Within mere minutes of meeting with Dr. Hodge, I felt confident that I was in good hands. Dr. Hodge is an exemplary neurological surgeon! I am a physician for myself And I am very much in tune to The intelligence and skill that Dr. Hodge has. He may not have The warmest and fuzziest of personalities, but he is one of the most talented surgeons that I know. If I need neurological surgery, I would have the upmost confidence in Dr. Hodge. I would prefer a surgeon with Dr. Hodge’s surgical skills to ensure the best Possible outcome, rather than have a Warm and fuzzy surgeon with Not so good skills.
Dr H saved me from Trigeminal pain. I will be forever grateful for him and his team.
TOP NOTCH, trustworthy, easygoing, understanding most of all he is a great surgeon. I know surgery is all ways painful but listen to the GREAT DOCTOR. I was up and moving at home 2 days after back surgery I had to have 6 different procedures. laminectomy, decompression of his spine, fusion, 3 rods, screws, flanges, and hinges and mesh.Now that’s a lot! Walk short distances to (bathroom, shower, dress and kitchen to make something for MYSELF) and I’m good. And it’s gets easier every day. EXCELLENT SURGEON AND SURGERY!!!
