Dr. McGowen is the first doctor to get my blood pressure under control. He has been my primary care physician for 15 years and he’s helped me through some of the most difficult times in my life. He is a great listener and even better physician. I recommend him to anyone that is looking for a good physician. His staff and especially Britt are very professional and pays attention to every detail.
I have always found Dr McGowen to be professional and he listens to everything that is going on and offers practical advice. You can tell he truly cares about his patients and we have moved other family members to him as our primary care physician. Definitely recommend him and his office to those needing a primary in the Oak Ridge area.
Dr. McGowan himself is great; however, his nurse Brit is absolutely horrible. She will not take 10 seconds to listen before trying to respond or asking you to repeat yourself simply because she thinks her time is more valuable than mine. You would think by getting almost $300 for an office visit that she would listen. Instead of trying to multi-task and when she doesn't know what you asked because she is not effective at multi-tasking asking you to repeat your questions multiple times.
